The snow is melting and the days are getting longer. Spring is officially here!
At Satsang Yoga Collective we honor our cosmic nature by aligning ourselves with seasonal changes. Living in harmony with the external changes of our environment helps to balance internal shifts that are happening within us.
Ayurveda teaches us that Spring weather, due to its cold wetness, is heavily influenced by kapha dosha. Kapha is composed of the earth and water elements, making it cold, heavy, moist, dull, soft, sticky, and static.

Sometimes these qualities can leave us feeling damp, chilly, cloudy, and heavy. So Spring is a great time to bring in opposite qualities like warmth, dryness, clarity, and mobility. Heat the body up and move a bit. Enjoy clear, warm, invigorating foods and beverages like lemon ginger tea with honey or clear, spicy soups. Be sure to stay dry on outdoor excursions and warm up by a toasty fire afterward, or put on hot socks straight from the dryer!

Spring is also a time of inspiration, rebirth, and creativity. It’s a wonderful time to clear the mind and body from the stagnant energy of a long Winter. Try something new and fun to pacify the dullness of kapha dosha. Do something that gets you excited!
In-Person Spring Retreat
Join Ali and Tony for a retreat in Wisconsin Dells that blends Yoga, Ayurveda, and Sound. This special one-day retreat will include a 90 minute yoga routine, a healthy ayurvedic cooking lesson with meal, a chakra clearing sound bath, meditation, and a kirtan session. Check out the details here.

Realign + Recharge - Thursdays at noon online with Ali for a new Slow VInyasa Flow class. This integrated offering weaves in practices from Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, and functional movement techniques.
