FRIDAY, October 11th
6 pm Opening Welcome Reception with Appetizers
Casual start to the retreat as you arrive to greet other vibrant souls, and enjoy delicious appetizers and drinks. Plenty of time to check in to your lodging, and welcome yourself to a weekend at Snowriver Mountain Resort.
7 pm Sound Bath
Let the potent vibrations of sound carry you into this vibrant weekend of community connection and self-exploration. Receive the gift of healing attunement from sound bathing with crystal bowls, played best guest teacher Danielle Foertsch Newman.
8:15 pm Intention Circle and Evening Candlelight Yoga
Encourage your highest self to guide your intention for the weekend. We’ll open the retreat with heart-felt intention sharing, and a relaxing candlelight restorative yoga session.
SATURDAY, October 12th
7 am Morning Yoga + Meditation
Rise and shine yoga and soul-centering meditation to increase your vibration for the day! Start the morning with mindful movement and compassion meditation to elevate your mood and inspire your retreat journey.
8 am Breakfast
Included with the retreat is a generous breakfast meal to fuel the activities of the day. Preparing to create your day, you get to choose your soul’s adventure and nature-inspired activities.
9:30 am Seasonal Wellness with Ayurvedic Wisdom Workshop
Ayurveda offers wellness-based knowledge and ritual for aligning with the ever-changing seasons. Learn how the seasonal change can inform and impact your personal choices for health and wellbeing. Fall specific wellness tips will be shared.
11 am Bag Lunch and Free Exploration Time
Choose Your Soul’s Afternoon Adventure. Pick up your bag lunch to take with you while you explore!
Self-Guided Activities
Fall Color Ride Experience the vibrancy of Autumn colors with panoramic views during a chairlift ride on the UP’s only high-speed lift, the Voyageur Express. Unlimited Rides Ticket: $10
Nature Trails Maps are provided for you to enjoy nature bathing and engage in your own mindful walking meditation. Grab a buddy or enjoy some solo time.
Purify and Rest Enjoy the facility amenities by jumping in the pool, detoxifying in the sauna, and soaking in the hottub. Time to rest and restore.
11 am - 2:00 pm Guided Activities
11:00 am Hatha Vinyasa Flow Class (45 mins) Enjoy an invigorating hatha vinyasa class exploring artful expression and full range of movement. All levels class with experienced guidance.
12:00 - 2:00 pm Hula Hoop Playzone (anytime)
Visit the playzone anytime. Mini demos will be offered by Ironwood Hoop Club. Beginners encouraged!
1:00 pm pm Make Your Own Mala Take home a piece of the magic. Infuse your mala beads with vibrant intention during this make your own mala session with Gayle.
3 pm - 5 pm Creative Expression Workshops
After taking in the colorful expression of the outdoors, enjoy some expression of your own! Awaken to your own vibrant nature and unique voice, in harmony with others. Creative expression is nourishing for the soul, and an essential part of our human nature.
3 pm Song Circle Sing your heart out! In this informal and fun setting, you’ll learn yoga kirtans, modern mantras, and heart songs. No knowledge of reading music is required. Songs will be taught by singing and repeating. Lyrics will be provided.
4 pm Conscious “Ecstatic” Dance Engage in free-form expression to upbeat music. Your body is an instrument, and this is your chance to play it! There are no wrong moves here, no steps to know, no instructor, no rules - just a fun, safe space to explore organic movement.
6 pm Dinner
Savor a nourishing meal that’s prepared just for us! We’ll join together for an evening meal, and toast to the vibrant souls all around.
8 pm Connection Circle and Evening Candlelight Yoga
Sharing in a circle can be a soul shifter. We invite you to reflect on the day, and share your heart’s wisdom. Restorative in nature, this yoga class will unwind any tensions, and ease you into a restful night sleep.
9:30 pm Late Night Bonfire
For the night owls, enjoy the light of the fire and more outdoor connection time.
SUNDAY, October 13th

Start the morning with gentle, mindful movement and heart-centered meditation. Ground and center as you prepare to integrate your retreat journey experience.
8 am Breakfast
Included with the retreat is a delicious breakfast meal to fuel your travel day.
9:30 am Closing Circle
Say farewell to your new friends and soul connections in a joyful close to our time together!

Anna aims to support growth in the world with patience, kindness, and love through the offering of shared yoga practice.
Anna received her 200 and 500 hour teaching certifications from Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute in Duluth, MN. She went on to complete their 1000 hour program to become a Certified Yoga Therapist. Anna is registered with Yoga Alliance and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Greatly influenced by the teachings of Ram Dass, Anna believes yoga is a uniquely powerful tool for recognizing and remembering the interconnected nature of all beings, and for honoring the sacredness and magic of everyday life.

Ali believes that the practice of Yoga cultivates awareness of our authentic self and our unique role in this world. And practice with community greatly benefits individual and collective health.
Ali received her first teaching certification in Hatha|Vinyasa Yoga in 2018 with Alex Pfeiffer in Madison, WI. Continuing on, she completed Yoga Therapist Certification with Molly McManus and Ann Maxwell in Duluth, MN. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Education Provider with Yoga Alliance.
She is delighted to guide people, on and off the yoga mat, through practices that highlight their own unique expression. Her class offerings integrate Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow techniques with a focus on dynamic functional movement, as well as, specific therapeutic and somatic techniques.
Ali lives in Madison, WI and enjoys being close to nature. What a joy to travel north to visit and play in the serene UP of Michigan!
Danielle Foertsch Newman (C-IAYT, RYT 500)!
We are thrilled to have Danielle coming down from the Houghton/Hancock, MI area to share her sound healing talents with us at the upcoming retreat. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist, and offers yoga classes and more locally. Check her account online at @snowycedar! She will offer us crystal singing bowls will offer a magical opening to this vibrant weekend of community connection and self-exploration!
Gayle Maslakow, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, BC-ADM, CMT
As a massage and bodywork therapist, Gayle's training focused on Eastern medicine treatments and philosophy of health and wellness. She is also a Nurse Practitioner and certified diabetes educator actively serving the Aspirus Upper Peninsula region including Ironwood, Ontonagon & Iron River areas. Gayle will be guiding a mala making workshop to help us all seal in the magic of this retreat!
